Studio Vendome is a full-service interior design firm founded by Kathleen FitzGerald. Based in Chicago, the studio works with clients across the country.

We appreciate the art of combining the old with the new to create an eclectic look that is layered in texture and pattern. We work with clients to help create homes that feel inviting, yet fresh, with designs and pieces that will stand the test of time.

Born and raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Kathleen has spent the last 7 years working at the world renowned firm of Cullman & Kravis in New York City. Moving back to her Midwest roots, she is looking forward to bringing her unique design sensibility and experience to the Chicago area.

Kathleen studied Art History and Communications at Washington & Lee University and design at the New York School of Interior Design.

Named for a beloved childhood street, Studio Vendome aims to bring elevated style and phenomenal design to the comfort of everyday living. With a love of mixing classical architecture, new items, and plenty of vintage and antique pieces too, Studio Vendome’s interiors achieve a distinct level of design.

  • From sourcing and procuring furnishings, to working alongside architects and contractors, Studio Vendome is well-versed in all aspects of the design process.

  • We are pleased to offer design services for those that do not live nearby. From floor plan work to remote sourcing of furniture or finishes, our services have been redesigned for the digital age. With the assistance of client guidance on measurements and photos, we are able to virtually execute any stage of a design project. Perhaps a single room or several spaces, a small refresh or a full design layout, SV is well-equipped to tackle any project no matter where you are located.

  • In need of some design direction, but don’t know where to begin? Enter the consultation package. Whether it’s helping out with paint selections, consulting on art, or space planning, we are always happy to offer recommendations and advice on an hourly basis.

  • Moved into a new space and not sure how to layout your existing furniture or decide what size furniture to purchase? This is one of the most over-looked services but vital to a well conceived home, whether or renting a new apartment or moving into a forever home.
